Fall semester sickness is back

As the weather starts changing and all the students have moved in, students are at a higher risk of getting
sick.

Both Paige Miller and Sydney Hubner said that they were able to give some helpful tips on how we can
best prepare for this.

“With everyone being back on campus we are going to see a rise in these cases from people traveling
here and also being in close proximity, sickness tends to spread quicker.” Miller and Hubner said.

If students do get sick IWU has the Wildcat Healthcare clinic readily available for them.

“The clinic offers all kinds of tests and helpful resources to you.” Miller said. “If you are sick the clinic
is also able to fill out a form for you to miss class so you are not spreading your sickness to other people.”

In prevention of getting sick here are some helpful tips.

“ I would recommend that you are taking your vitamins and supplements, drinking plenty of water,
exercising and that you are getting plenty of sleep, because once you start losing your sleep you are more
prone to sickness.” Hubner said.
