The Jackson Library at Indiana Wesleyan University has announced the new walk-in tutoring program that will allow students to walk in and receive tutoring, no appointment required.
This program was designed to help students who have unpredictable schedules still find time to get the help they need.
Library staff member Sophia Justice said the walk-in format allows students more opportunities to get help.
“Since it’s multiple days and walking tutoring, it just gives students more
opportunities to get the tutoring they might need,” Justice said.
Justice also noted that the regular tutoring hours may conflict with athletes’ schedules making it harder for them to get the help they need.
Aj Schafer, a student and athlete at Indiana Wesleyan, agreed with this statement. Schafer
explained that balancing classes, practices, lifting sessions, meetings, and sometimes work can
make it difficult to schedule tutoring.
“Walking in on your own time is really important,” Schafer said.
The walk-in tutoring program is poised to have a big impact on students on campus
