This past weekend, students from across the Midwest gathered at Indiana Wesleyan University for Fusion 2026. The highlight of Fusion weekend was the concert that capped off the first day experience on Friday, April 10th.
The concert featured two big-time Christian bands, SEU Worship and Switchfoot. Students gathered all throughout the chapel on campus to worship, connect, and be a part of something bigger.
Toby Shrek, a student from Saline, Michigan, said the impact was immediate.
“I mean, that’s all for this generation, for this group, for this time period right now.” Shrek said. “It’s clear that this isn’t just something people are coming to—it’s something that’s changing people.”
Sophie Brown, a classmate of Shrek’s, shared a similar perspective.
“It was such an amazing experience getting to know this school a little better and seeing if this is a place that I could call home in the future,” Brown said. “I’m really looking forward to some close time with the Lord… with all these people that are here for one reason only, and that is to glorify Him.”
Mia Cooley, a student who is currently homeschooled, said she had one word to describe Fusion: energy.
“It’s been so hype—I’ve loved every part of it so far,” Cooley said.
Fusion poised, impacted, and excited students who attended. And made impacts that will last a lifetime at Indiana Wesleyan University.
